Ion Exchange Resin
A water treatment technology using synthetic resins that selectively capture PFAS molecules.
Single-use and regenerable ion exchange resins are highly effective at removing both long- and short-chain PFAS from water. Anion exchange resins attract the negatively charged PFAS molecules, achieving removal rates above 95% even at low concentrations. While more expensive than GAC, ion exchange offers superior performance for short-chain PFAS and mixed contamination.
